Not all interior permanent magnet motors are equal. Make sure the combination (motor manufacturer's design and drive algorithm) have been successfully run together without special firmware developed ... for that motor.

Normally, PM motor have 2 types:
1. Surface-mounted permanent magnet synchronuns machine (SMPMSM) because the magnet is mounted on the surface of the rotor.
2. interior permanent magnet (IPM) motor because the permanent magnet is inserted inside of the rotor.
If you test your variable frequency drive with IPM motor ok, then I believe that this VFD can control IPM motor properly.

In fact all real vector controls drives are able, but it should be set carefully. The supplier of the motor "should" be the most skilled to set the unit, but experience shows that it is not always the case.

Find a good local service supplier which is able to set the unit and give you warranty to the result

It could be easy for me to say that Delta drives can do it! And that is right, but I suggest to find local help instead of generic trade.
